Buoycast does not collect any personal information.
Buoycast uses your current location to find nearby buoy stations and marine forecasts. Your location may also be used to send notifications for pertinent alerts and advisories.
Location usage can be disabled in your Device’s settings.
Buoycast uses Google’s Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to provide crash reporting and basic analytics to help us improve the app.
Additional anonymous analytics data may be used and collected by Buoycast and select third parties to improve the application, target advertising, and other purposes. All data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify a specific user or device.
Buoycast includes Google AdMob ads. Google may use the advertising identifier from your device(s) to infer interests, demographics, and other data to show you more relevant ads. Your device advertising identifier can be disabled or reset in your iPhone’s settings. Buoycast does not share any other personal data with Google.
A subscription to Buoycast Pro disables all advertisements.
Buoycast Pro users can register for warning and advisory push notifications. A device token is stored in the push notification service to facilitate these notifications. Notifications will never be used for marketing.
You can disable notifications and permanently invalidate your device token from Buoycast’s settings, your devices settings or by deleting the application.
