Synopsis
A sprawling area of high pressure will hold nearly stationary over the Mid-South through early this week before dropping toward Florida by Wednesday. Tranquil conditions are expected, but a lingering long-period easterly swell will cause occasionally poor boating conditions, especially near inlets and offshore. Low pressure is forecast to develop and move toward the Mid-Atlantic by late Thursday which will drag a strong cold front toward the area by Thursday night or early Friday.
